1930s Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens - Illustrated Antique Book - Short Stories So Does NOT Include the Longer Christmas Carol

In very good condition, here is an antique copy of Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens. PLEASE NOTE - the Stories collection is a compilation of Dickens' later Christmas short stories. These were written after his longer Christmas novellas and so this selection does NOT include A Christmas Carol. Undated, but would have been published by The Waverley Book Company in the 1930s. Also contains The Mystery of Edwin Drood. With a number of black and white illustrations. More details below.

Inside the pages are very good being clean, bright and tightly bound. With just some very light spotting to the endpapers. The top closed edge has some toning, with spotting to the other two sides. Gapes at the gutter in a couple of places, but the binding of the text block remains good and strong. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

This is a well-produced, large book in beautiful red decorative cloth backed thick boards. With bold, blind-stamped decoration to the front and back, and gilt to the spine. All in top order - just a little pushing to the cloth at the spine head. A really striking, eye-catching book.
