Here is an absolutely charming vintage copy of Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford. Published in 1929 by A& C Black, London. With eight colour illustrations by Miss Sybil Tawse. In an unusual decorative binding, this is a scarce edition. In good condition, with just a few condition points to note, detailed below.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with just the occasional brown blemish. The endpapers have tanned and there is bookplate on the front free endpaper. With mild tanning to the outside edges. All of the colour plates are present and in super condition.

In very attractive cream cloth covered boards with village design to the front and spine. Again all in good order with a little rubbing to the cloth at the corners and at the spine ends (with some very slight fraying of the cloth to the latter), and a thin crease down the centre.
