In good condition, here is a lovely antique copy of Surrey - Painted by Sutton Palmer and Described by AR Hope Moncrieff. Published in 1912 by Adam & Charles Black, London. With 75 super colour plates, a folding-map and lovely decorative boards.
Contents: A 'Home' County; The Riverside; Down the Wey; Up the Mole; The Pilgrims' Way; The Roman Road; Leith Hill; Hindhead; Commons and Camps; The Brighton Roads.
Inside the book opens with an inked inscription to the top of the front free endpaper. With the occasional spot and brown blemish, otherwise pages are clean and tightly bound. With some mild tanning and spotting to the closed outside edges, and a mark on the top edge next to the spine. All 75 colour plates are present as called for. The folding-map is still present at the end of the book but a CONDITION point to note is that it has been repaired with tape (see photos).
Blue cloth covered boards have a yellow and brown design, and titles. Again in top order. With just a little rubbing to the cloth on the corners and spine ends, and one small nick across the top of the spine.
Your antique copy of Surrey will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to include a gift card and message if desired.
