1908 Heroic Legends Re-Told by Agnes Grozier Herbertson / Blackie & Son, London / Richly Illustrated in Colour / Robin Hood, St George etc.

In very good condition here is a charming antique book. Heroic Legends The Stories of St George and the Dragon, Robin Hood, Richard and Blondel, Brother Lion and Other Legends. Re-told by Agnes Grozier Herbertson and with twenty colour plates by Helen Stratton. Undated but published in 1908 by Blackie & Son, London.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. With just some very occasional light scattered spotting, the odd brown blemish and folded corner. With mild spotting also to the closed outside edges. Has an inked inscription on the front free endpaper dated 1931, but no other markings of previous ownership. All of the colourful plates are present and in good condition. 

In light brown boards with ornate decoration to the front. All in top order again with a lovely bright cream cloth decorative spine. Has just some rubbing to the boards at the corners to reveal boards beneath.
