Here is an antique copy of A Memoir of Jane Austen by her nephew James Edward Austen Leigh. Published in 1906 by Macmillan and Co., London. With a black and white portrait frontispiece and also includes Lady Susan and The Watsons. In good condition, with a little wear to the boards, described below.

Originally published in 1869, the memoir is a significant work that provides valuable insight into the life and personality of one of England's most beloved novelists. 

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has some light spotting to the endpapers and a small inked name on the front free endpaper. Gapes at the gutter in a couple of places, but the binding of the text block is tight and strong. The black and white portrait has some light spotting, else unillustrated. Also includes a facsimile of a letter (see photos). 

Dark red cloth covered boards have gilt titles to the spine. With some bumping around the outside edges and some light rubbing away of the dark red in a few areas (see photo 2). Some light rubbing also to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine.
