In very good condition, here is a lovely antique edition of Anne Bronte's novel Agnes Grey. Published in 1905 by John Grant of Edinburgh as part of a series called the Novels of the Sisters Bronte, or The Thornton Edition. Fairly large in size. Condition in detail below.
Has a black and white frontispiece, else unillustrated. Has a black pen line to the front paste down (see photos), plus a couple of numbers. At the top of the front free endpaper are the remnants of where a bookplate has been removed. Mild tanning and spotting to endpapers and scattered spotting throughout the text. The top edge is gilt (slight scuffing), the other sides untrimmed.
In olive-green cloth over boards with attractive ornate gilt decoration to the spines. Also in very good order. A faint brown mark to the back rear corner. The gilt decoration is bright and un-faded and this is an eye-catching book on display.
Your antique copy of Anne Bronte's Agnes Grey will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message if desired.
H 22cm x W 15 cm, 302 pages, 0.63 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. With the exception of a small number of countries.
