In good condition, here is a beautiful copy of The Adventures of Hajji Baba of Ispahan. Published by Macmillan & Co., London in 1895. With numerous illustrations by H R Millar and with striking Art Nouveau boards by Albert Angus Turbayne.

Looking extremely eye-catching on display.

A satirical picaresque novel set in Persia (Iran). It follows the misadventures of Hajji Baba, the son of a barber.

Opens onto super yellow peacock decorative endpapers (also by Turbayne). Pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or markings of previous ownership. With one folded corner and the odd spot. Shiny gilt on all sides - lightly scuffed - but minor.

In striking petrol-green cloth over boards with ornate gilt decoration to the front and spine in the Art Nouveau style. In very good order. A little rubbing to the corners and spine ends. A few faint marks to the rear board. Gilt decoration has slightly rubbed but remains a stunning book.

Your antique copy of Hajji Baba of Ispahan will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged, tracked and insured. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
