1833 Floricultural Cabinet - 14 Hand Coloured Botanical Flower Illustrations

Here is a beautifully illustrated antique hardback copy of The Floricultural Cabinet and Florist's Magazine from 1833. With 14 gorgeous, individually hand-coloured botanical plates. Published by Whittaker, Treacher & Co., London. Contents in very good condition, with some wear to the leather and rubbing to the boards. Rebacked.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. Spotting to prelims, and the occasional mark in the text. Has some faint traces of where some light pencil has been erased from the front paste down. A couple of stamps to the front endpapers. The colour plates are absolutely superb.

In a black leather binding, with dark-green and black marbled papered sides. Rebacked with original spine relayed. A good deal of rubbing to the leather, with some loss in places to reveal boards beneath. Rubbing to the papered boards again to reveal boards beneath in some spots.
