Condition in detail below.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCharles Edmund Brock, the English artist and illustrator produced some of the most charming illustrations of Austen's novels for this publisher JM Dent and Sons in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He is, in my opinion, the most accurate illustrator of her novels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Spotting to endpapers and early pages. Has a small inked inscription to the top of the front free endpaper, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. All sixteen colour plates are present as called for, and all in top order. The top closed edge is tinted blue.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBlue cloth over boards have dark blue floral basket central motif, and dark blue decoration to the spine along with gilt titles. Has a light mark to the front upper panel (see photos). A slight bump to the top front corner. Mild rubbing to the corners and spine ends. A little fraying to the cloth on the spine joint ends. In the photos it looks as if there may be a split to the cloth at the spine head, but this is NOT the case, it is simply some rubbing to a crease in the cloth.
