Published in 1913 (just five years after the very first edition), by Methuen \u0026amp; Co., London. With ten colour plates, plus one in black and white. A nice copy of this scarce edition. Condition in detail below.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With mild scattered spotting. Has an inked name stamped to the top of the pictorial front paste down, with a little ink transferring over to the top of the front free endpaper (see photos). Also with an inked name and date of 1918 on the half-title page. Some toning and spotting to the top edge, the other sides being uncut. Tanning to the frontispiece tissue-guard. All of the illustrated plates are present as called for, and all in good condition. The ten in colour are by Paul Bransom, and the black and white plate by Graham Robertson. The latter being the only plate in the printings up until this one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBottle-green cloth over boards have black and white vignette to the front upper board. Black titles to front, and gilt to spine. Has some rubbing and rounding to the cloth on the corners and spine ends, with a tiny bit of fraying. A couple of faint white marks to the front upper board.
