Here is a charming antique hardback copy of The Poetical Works of Oliver Goldsmith. Undated but would have been published around 1890 by Longmans, Green and Company, London. In lovely decorative boards, illustrated and with shiny gilt edged pages.

Inside the book opens with a name on an early endpaper, but has no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Hsas spotting to the endpapers and sporadically through the text. Otherwise pages are clean, bright and tightly bound and the gilt edges are sparkly bright. Richly illustrated throughout with numerous black and white illustrations.

Green cloth covered boards are in top order with shiny bright gilt decoration. Has some mild rubbing to the corners and spine ends, and a small bump to the bottom front corner. A very attractive edition indeed.
