c1910 Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte / Collins Clear-Type Press, London / Beautiful Antique Illustrated Book / Ornate Gilt Decoration

A gorgeous antique edition of Emily Bronte's novel Wuthering Heights. Undated but would have been published around the 1910s by Collins Clear-type Press, London. With four colour plates by Willy Pogany and a colour illustrated title page.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With some spotting to the outside edges, and mild tanning to the endpapers. Has a book plate on the back of the frontispiece (see photos), but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With pale blue marbled endpapers and a thin ribbon place marker sewn in. The top edge is gilt. A tight, square copy with no cracked hinges.

Pale-blue cloth covered boards have sparkly gilt decoration to the front and spine. Again in top order. The spine has tanned in comparison to the front and back, with a couple of spots around the title. A very attractive copy indeed.
