In good condition, here is a lovely two-volume vintage set of Diary of a Provincial Lady, plus The Provincial Lady Goes Further by EM Delafield. Both published in 1942 by Macmillan & Co., London.

Witty and charming the Provincial Lady novels by E. M. Delafield take the form of a fictional journal, chronicling the daily life of an upper-middle-class Englishwoman living in a Devon village in the 1930s. Known for dry humour, self-deprecating wit, and sharp observations on domestic life, social conventions, and the struggles of a woman balancing household duties with personal aspirations. Fans of Beth Brower's Emma M. Lion series will love these.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with just some mild scattered spotting. Has an inscription to the top corner of the front paste down of each volume, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Unillustrated.

In dark blue faux-leather with gold decoration and titles. In good order, with just a little rubbing to the corners and spine ends.
