1912 Christmas Books etc. by Charles Dickens - Illustrated Antique Book

In excellent condition, here is a lovely antique copy of Christmas Books by Charles Dickens. Also in this volume is Pictures From Italy and American Notes. Richly illustrated. Undated, but would have been published in 1912 by Waverley Book Company, London. More details below.

Contains all five of Dickens' Christmas Novellas: A Christmas Carol; The Chimes; The Cricket on the Hearth; Battle of Life and The Haunted Man.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. Delightful black and white illustrations which are reproductions of those in the very first editions. The top closed edge is tinted dark blue to match the boards.

Dark-blue faux leather boards have a blind stamped border to the front. With shiny gilt decoration to the spine. Again in top order. Just a few faint scuffs - but minor. One slightly larger scuff across the spine, but again hard to spot. A large, strongly bound clean, tight and square copy. With an eye-catching spine on display.
