They chronicle the American writer's nostalgic recollections of Christmas traditions in 19th Regency century England. The text first appeared in 1819 in Irving's Sketchbook.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has some occasional mild scattered spotting, and some light tanning to the frontispiece tissue guard. Has a bookplate to the front paste down, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With cracked paper to the front hinge to reveal webbing, but the binding remains good and strong. Has a fold\/crease with a small nick to the blank front free endpaper. The gilt on all three sides has remained shiny bright.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBound in dark-green cloth backed boards with beautiful gilt decoration which again is in top order - sparkly bright. The dark green cloth is clean and un-faded.
