These four volumes (each concerning one season of the year) were published by John W Parker, London and are in attractive green decorative cloth bindings. With a couple of CONDITION POINTS to note detailed below.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe collection is organised into a course of daily readings designed to give Victorian families a mixture of moral education, scientific facts, and seasonal reflections every day of the year. It heavily documents the changing flora, fauna, and weather patterns characteristic of each month in Great Britain. Alongside nature observations, there is British folklore, historical biography, and antiquities connected to specific dates and seasons.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. It should be NOTED that Volume I lacks the title page, and that all four volumes lack their blank front free endpapers. All edges are gilt. Volume I has a few marks to the back (see photos), otherwise the bindings are in top order.
