Undated, but research shows them to have been published by Hazell, Watson and Viney of London in the 1930s. Illustrated with original drawings by a number of artists including Phiz (see photos).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe five Christmas novellas comprise: A Christmas Carol; The Chimes; The Cricket on the Hearth; The Battle For Life; The Haunted Man.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or any other markings of previous ownership. The odd folded corner. The tops of the closed edges are tinted red.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith hard-wearing and attractive dark-red faux-leather boards. The fronts have a blind-stamped signature of Charles Dickens, and decorative border in the centre. Just a couple of faint marks here. Rubbing to the corners. The spines are excellent with shiny gilt decoration and titles.
