Undated but would have been published around 1905 by Blackie and Son Ltd, London. In a beautiful Art Nouveau style binding, with twelve colour plates plus line drawings. Has a bit of wear. Condition in detail below.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt the Back of the North Wind is a children's book originally written in 1868. It is a fantasy centred on a boy named Diamond and his adventures with the North Wind. Diamond travels together with the mysterious Lady North Wind through the nights.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside the book opens and closes with gorgeous illustrated endpapers. Has mild spotting to some early pages, and tanning\/spotting to the fore-edge. Has a slight \"old book\" smell. The pages are rough cut on the outer edge and some are very rough on the corners, with some loss - see photos - but not effecting the text. This copy has not been written in, and there are no other markings of previous ownership. The book has developed a mild lean over time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePetrol blue-green cloth over boards have ornate Art Nouveau decoration to the front and spine, gilt cabbage roses and a paste down illustration. With some rubbing to the cloth on the corners and spine ends. Some rubbing to remove a little of the colour to the top front corner.
