In different colour cloth, otherwise matching hardback editions which would have been published in the 1890s, or possibly slightly earlier by Richard Edward King, London. I'm excited to find matching editions. The chances of finding two books in the same binding are remote and so, not wanting to split them, I am selling together as a set. Condition in detail below.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside both copies the pages have tanned and have become brittle with age. This is common in the RE King editions. They have some nicks, closed tears and chips to the opening pages (see photos). This is to opening pages only and not effecting the text. No writing, inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. Wuthering Heights has a cracked hinge, giving the front board a wobble, but in no way effecting the binding of the text block which is good and strong.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEmma is in a maroon\/purple cloth, whilst Wuthering Heights is rust brown. With matching black and gilt decoration. Both have some faint marks to the cloth. Wuthering Heights has a few dark marks on the back and a small split to the bottom edge of the rear board. Emma has some faint light marks and slight fading around the outer edges. It has a bump to the top front corner. Has some loss to the cloth at the head of the spine (see photos). Wuthering Heights has a little rubbing to the cloth on spine ends. The gilt title blocks on both remain bright.
