1888 Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan / The RTS, London / Decorative Boards / Richly Illustrated / In Good Condition

In good condition, here is a lovely antique edition of The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Undated but with an inked inscription on the half-title page dated 1888. In decorative boards and with numerous illustrations in black and white.

Inside opens onto floral endpapers. With the above-mentioned inscription but has no other writing or markings of previous ownership. The pages have scattered spotting and the occasional brown blemish. All edges are gilt. The book has developed a lean, over time.

Silver/grey cloth covered boards have black, gilt and silver decoration to the front, back and spine. In good order with just the odd light mark to the cloth. Has some mild rubbing and rounding to the corners and spine ends. Gilt titles are bright and this is an attractive book.
