Pages are clean and tightly bound. Each volume opens with a bookplate to the front paste down and an inked name opposite to the front free endpaper.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTan calf-leather spines and corner pieces. Five bands to the spines with black and red leather volume and title plates. Gilt decoration to the other compartments. Some rubbing and scuffing to the leather in places. Cracking on the spine hinges, with a split to the spine hinge at the top of Volume IV. All in no way effecting the binding of each volume which is good and strong. Rubbing to the surfaces of the marbled papered sides. A couple of white paint marks to the paper on the lower, back board of Volume V.
